It is Official: Angela Ahrendts is already the new senior vice president of Apple Retail

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Tim Cook said it would be this week: finally, months after the announcement, Angela Ahrendts has ceased to be the CEO of Burberry and officially in as new head of Apple Retail and Apple online stores. This has been reflected in both the Burberry website like Apple in sections where it is shown to the policy. Rumors of this delay are contradicted.

Angela thus becomes the only woman member of the board of Apple, answering direct orders from Tim Cook and directing two sections that had never been run together: the website of the Apple Store and the division of physical stores. Replaces John Browett, who was temporarily in charge of those stores until Tim decided to fire him for not fit well in the company.

Angela must prove that Tim Cook is not wrong choosing it as happened to John Browett

In its day, Tim said that John was the best executive to lead Apple Retail and months later had to retract. Angela's task is clearly prevent the CEO of Apple has to go through the same situation. Under her responsibility is to continue the expansion of Apple stores and maintain its reputation as the most iconic chain stores in the world.

Who knows ... if we could see John Browett at the opening of the Apple Store in Passeig de Gràcia (Barcelona - Spain), might see Angela inaugurating the Apple Store next to Puerta del Sol (Madrid - Spain). Personally I ask only one thing: the iPad version Apple app Store reaches Spain.
