Does it move along the lines of what you want or just what you expect? Certainly in terms of design and considering the continuo line how well has worked for the apple is a concept with many possibilities and innovations as a second speaker at the opposite end of the terminal to provide a certain three-dimensional sound can not be anything wrong.

This concept of the iPhone 7 makes by Yasser Farahi
Have only been four months after launching the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and how could it be otherwise we have the first conceptual designs of the next model in the series. Created by Yasser Farahi, this design takes the work done by the team of Jony Ive and modifies it to make it more sexy while introducing many ideas that could well prove to materialize in reality sooner or later.

Microsoft is approaching Webkit with his new browser
Although Joe Belfiore maximum measured his words during the official presentation of Project Spartan, the new web browser that will take over Explorer in Windows 10, it is certain that the executive vice president of Microsoft operating systems can not deny the obvious: WebKit it has become the de facto standard in web rendering engines and follow tied for compatibility with earlier versions of Explorer is a drag.
"A new rendering engine that was designed to be compatible with the way the web today is written," said Belfiore quickly before moving on to the next feature, knowing full well that we might replace the last part of this sentence a word, WebKit. And tuned because we're not talking to follow the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium -W3C-.

Reuters: The iWatch will be released in October
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
A device that is creating great excitement, the iWatch. Apple Smart Clock, or as I like to call it, the natural evolution of the iPod, seems to have a release date. According to Reuters, October would be the launch date and Apple expects to sell 50 million units.
Quanta Computer Inc company would be responsible for 70% of the production of the device, also speaks of a design and arched screen with a diagonal of 2.5 inches signed by LG. Would have wireless charging system and heart rate sensor to complete the ecosystem further plans to create Healtkit.
We have to wait, but during the WWDC and we could see some clues. Apple's goal is to not be predictable in a new device, creating a new category.

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Adobe wants to defend its platform and finally launches Lightroom for iPhone, had left his iPad version but finally reached the iPhone version. Now along with their applications in the cloud, launched in the U.S. market the Ink Stylus and Slide Ruler Duo.
Adobe has partnered with Adonit to give these two devices. The Stylus for example is able to connect to Adobe cloud services to access photos for use on our drawings. The Slide and the stylus can be used in all applications developed by Adobe.
The pack is available fortoday for $199, but only in the United States, other countries will have to wait, but will not be a long wait. Interestingly is the fact that Adobe released the SDK for all these applications, so we might see third party applications aprovechasen this cloud Adobe.

Apple would be closing a purchase by Spotsetter
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
We all know the "incident" with Apple Maps, and we know that has since been receiving small updates, you certainly have done better compared with that we met at the beginning, still we take to be considered a real option when searching for an address or guiding us through the city without errors.
In fact, Apple Maps were one of the forgotten by not receiving any news in the last presentation of the WWDC. And today, knowing that Apple would be closing a purchase by Spotsetter application, we understand why.
Spotsetter was an application with little more than a year to live, but noted for having a loyal fan base, in part because of its appeal based on a mapping interface design where we could meet the recommendations of places thanks to reviews friends, social networks and other sites.
Spotsetter began as a startup founded by two Google ex-employees who got an initial investment of $ 1.3 million for its development. The operation was based on connecting and draw on sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Foursquare, and over 30 recommendations sites like Yelp, Zagat and TripAdvisor. So we had our friends information, comments, critics and experts in one place. Not bad right? Now imagine all this moved to Apple Maps, things gets better.
Still no confirmation that Spotsetter will be added to the Apple Maps or a standalone application, but Spotsetter could have entry into the Maps without any doubt and thus provide a powerful tool recommendations within the same application.

Financial Times: "Apple is preparing its own platform for smart homes"
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
According to the Financial Times, Apple is developing its own platform for smart homes. A system that would use our iPhone, and iOS devices in general, as the control center for our home. Thus being able to turn on lights, control security, appliances and more.
News that sounds powerful, but the options that Apple could be integrated into the operating system itself, rather than what would do. And, today, we have systems through the use of third-party apps that allow us all that through products such as Welmo Belkin, Placed...
But that "Apple style" and the choices that come with iOS 8 which is attractive and exciting. Imagine finally open source Siri for third-party apps with voice commands and control to get home.
The Apple smart home
A platform for the Apple smart home is something important but which responds to actions other manufacturers like Samsung or Google are already taking place. Of course, here, you never know who had thought of before. In order of announcement is clear that Apple is the last to arrive but if we look back we see some movements are now engaging with this alleged new intelligence platform.
First of all would be the new AppleTV settings. As you recall, configured our AppleTV with a simple touch, thanks to our iPhone without entering Apple ID. Then there is the issue of iBeacon, the AS under sleeve iOS 7. With this technology we have seen that you can implement numerous possibilities both in shops, public places or even the home. For example, Placed or MOCA platform.
Continuing, we see now the recent rumor of including NFC in the iPhone. Apple always said not to consider including an immature technology, the fact is that it is very useful and convenient for setting / pair devices with a single touch. So why not use it now. The truth is that the WWDC is a few days and we will focus on iOS and OS X.

iPhone 6 ... 1704x960 pixels?
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
All indications are that the next iPhone 6 will see significant changes in the display. It is speculated by the arrival of two models of 4.7 and 5.5 inches.
According to 9to5mac, who refer to sources that are testing the new phone, Apple will use a resolution of 1704x960 pixels in their next phone, strange for conventional world but logic within the Apple ecosystem. Keep the same format including iPhone 5 and 5S, which would imply that the adaptation of applications to the new resolution.
This resolution would be shared with the two phone sizes, 4.7 and 5.5 inches, and would be above 300 dpi that Apple requires to consider a Retina Display screen. They would be 416 and 356 dpi respectively, even above 326 ppi that Apple has been using for the iPhone 4.
It seems that Apple will raise the screen size of the next iPhone 6, and logic tells us that with this increase will also increase the resolution. These 1704x960 pixels fall within the logic, but of course we have to consider having a lot of speculation. Surely in the next WWDC 2014 (2-6 June) it unveil a new feature of iOS 8, and perhaps also with him some new feature of the iPhone 6 is leaking, hopefully confirming many of the things that have been rumored in the recent months. Maybe some new feature of the iPhone 6 is also leaking in the coming days.

Charity Day: Someone will eat with Tim Cook for $ 330,001
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
The bid that Tim Cook started a few days ago, in which the CEO of Apple has auctioned a meal with him is over. This time, it has achieved $ 330,001 for donations in exchange to eat together.
The meal will last one hour and will be in Apple's headquarters in Cupertino. And there is an added Tim Cook revealed a few days ago via a tweet: the lucky winner of the auction will also be a VIP guest at an Apple event. I think this is the next WWDC keynote. Personally I would ask to sit next to Jonathan Ive, the design to be commenting on all the news as presented, do not you think?
There is a reason that probably the winning bid is left in the middle of what was the first: the auction platform CharityBuzz now requires the authorization of a credit card, so adventurers who bid without funds could not do anything. Anyway, are more than $ 300,000 that will go to a good cause and a winner will enjoy a meal with the ultimate authority on Apple.

Hello? And meanwhile the iPhone rumor 6c, where it is?
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
We have rumors, rumors and more rumors iPhone 6, which will be the next big jump in Apple design. We all know that every two generations, Apple makes a great device redesign and now when it's up again.
How it will evolve to the iPhone 6c? We have so many pictures of the iPhone 6, which I think in September we will have no surprise about the iPhone but substitute "colors" do not know anything yet.
Will we see a major revolution in the iPhone 5c?
Obviously, externally it appears that is not going to happen, it most probably would have seen a leak and respect. As now run rumors and leaks, and would have seen any alleged photograph or render any course.
Well, if a rumor has been ... but the truth is that I personally do not give much credibility. Slimmer design, slightly larger screen ... better camera and without touchID.
My theory is that a new color appear. iPhone 5C, 5 colors, iPhone 6C, 6 colors. Besides the iPhone 6C, come along with the release of the iPhone 6S. Would talk in a high-end changes every year and a range focused on new and young audience that would change every 2 years.

Tribute to Jonathan Ive
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Jonathan Ive lived a good point in his career where not stop winning awards. A year ago Ive jumped into the list of the hundred most influential people in the world of Time magazine. The previous year, he flew to London with his entire team to collect the prestigious Design & Arts Direction award when he was still fresh in his memory knighthood by the Queen of England.
It is behind the design of some of the most iconic products from Apple, the MOMA in New York has a collection of six products with its signature: the Mac G4 Cube and precious speakers, subwoofer iSub, iBook, iMac G4 and the first iPod.
Ive collected his award at the ceremony that took place on October 30, but has been quick to show their appreciation to the museum with a brief statement:
"I have always enjoyed my visits to SFMOMA and I think represents the design and contemporary art in an exceptional way. I am very grateful to the museum and proud to be recognized among an impressive list of previous winners."
"Ive is the most innovative and influential figure of our generation in the field of industrial design. No other designer has done so much to transform the way we view and share information," said Neal Benezra, director of SFMOMA. "SFMOMA was the first museum on the east coast to establish a department of architecture and design and are happy to celebrate the revolutionary achievements Ive"Neal Benezra is very clear, and that his institution will honor Ive handing the Bay Area Treasure Award, an award that recognizes artists and the creative world leading figures in the area of San Francisco and becoming vice president of design at Apple with names like director George Lucas, painter Wayne Thiebaud or landscape architect Lawrence Halprin.

Apple will open a new Apple Store in the World Trade Center in New York
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
The place will become a North-american icon, recalling the barbarity committed. The World Trade Center will open in 2015 in New York. At first it was rumored that Apple would open a store in its shopping center and it seems to be a reality.
Some reports suggest that the firm with the managing body of the mall has already occurred and that the Apple Store will open on the day of the inauguration. It will not be the only major firm, Canali, Hugo Boss, Mont Blanc are some of the international companies that will be present.
We will see what kind of store presents us Apple, if it compete in design with Fifth Avenue cube or Grand Central, two of which are for me the most beautiful Apple Stores.

Steve Jobs designed part of the next two iPhone
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
After the death of Steve Jobs was much talk about the future of Apple since it was the strongest pillar of the company. However, at the time also spoke of the legacy that Steve had left after his death and beyond being a visionary, Jobs did his best to continue his beloved company on track. That is why months before the launch of iPhone 5S is rumored that the genius of Cupertino was closely following its development as well as two future devices. Now he has returned to mention that Steve Jobs designed part of the next two iPhone.
As reported in the blog MacTrast, the district attorney of San Francisco, George Gascón, has been commissioned to reveal that Jobs participated in the design of the next two iPhone while it apparently was in contact with the company based in California and he received confirmation from Michael Foulkes, the manager of the bond business - government.
According to this information, the contact began after the increase in the rate of robberies in mobile devices, since in San Francisco one of the devices has been stolen iPhone. For the same reason George Gascón participated with Apple to develop a system that could disable devices remotely and reduce the number of thefts.
The truth is that this statement is not entirely surprising. Steve Jobs was known for his obsessive attention to detail, in fact, it is well known that often used to design products well in advance. There is even a belief that the company has other products previously designed by Steve Jobs and most likely helped design part of the next two iPhone and many other things.

The flickr group of prototype Apple was opened in 2007 by Sonny Hung, who by then included some 123 photos. The prototype of Hung was a eMate 300 Clear Case.
After having your case and encourage others to include your own photographs, reviewers have been growing in number, but they have already done the photographs that have increased tenfold in the last seven years. The most interesting thing, besides the photos, but is disinterest group, sharing photos on the flickr prototypes of Apple for free.
Besides Hung, the main responsibility, collaborate in this flickr Grant Hutchinson, Daniel Forsythe, Simian, or Jim Abeles. However Hung gained the vast majority of photographs thanks to the sending of all stakeholders who want to involve the prototypes in his possession within this flickr. In fact, everyone is welcome to the group, provided a few simple rules of behavior and I assure the proper functioning and accuracy, largely of the prototypes found. Of course they are samples like this that show the great ability to make a good job that the community has when he wants.

The five reasons that are warming the price of Apple
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
1. Few bright results
The revenue of the company rose by 4.6 percent to $ 45,600 million, a record for a non-holiday quarter. This figure is above the 43.500 billion analysts had expected. Also, these accounts imply a profit of $ 11.62 per share, better than expected they were $ 10.18. Specifically, quarterly earnings increased 7%.
2. The increase in iPhone sales
Apple reported sales of 43.7 million iPhones in the first quarter, exceeding the 38 million Wall Street had predicted. This contributed to the doubts hanging over Apple's flagship device, which has shown that continues to attract the faithful.
3. The split
Apple has announced that each share of the company will be divided by 7. This decision facilitates entry into the Dow Jones Industrial, and is one of the factors that has driven the price of the company, since the presence in index attracts so much money from passive management. In addition, this will allow fans of the company can be done with some that could not previously. There is also a psychological factor: It is not the same as having an action 7.
4. The dividend
Apple also announced an increase in the quarterly dividend by 8% to $ 3.29. The dividend has been for years one of the major demands of the investors in the technology of the apple.
5. Buyback program
The other factor that is driving the action is the announcement that senior management has approved a new share repurchase program worth $ 30,000 million by 2015, which will certainly boost its market value.
However...
Despite these bullish factors, the results presented this week have failed to dispel the main question that continues to weigh on the company: When will Apple launch a new product?
The momentum gained by the first iPod; then by the iPhone in 2007 and finally with the iPad in 2010 is undeniable, but the competition is fierce and it now spends Google billions of dollars in artificial robotics; Samsung is gaining it while growing market in the area of smartphones. The billionaire Carl Icahn, one of the shareholders of Apple that has fought for the share repurchase program summed it up well in his Twitter account: "I completely agree with the share repurchase program and extremely pleased with the results. I also will be happy when they launch new products "

Nike says goodbye to the FuelBand. Could it mean an alliance with Apple?
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
During Easter has become an important announcement: Nike FuelBand developing leaves. Which was one of the first devices market quantifiers leave the project, and not only that because Nike has confirmed in a statement to CNET that will put aside all kinds of design and manufacture of hardware.
In contrast, the American company has confirmed that put all their efforts on developing software. Applications for the world of sports, programs and compilers of statistics in this field. There will be new versions of Nike FuelBand but continue selling their current model SE.
A rather surprising announcement, but not least, is surrounded by much speculation. Many are beginning to say that Apple and Nike have agreed to a new device on the first mark, a kind of new quantifier. Relations between the two companies are very frequent since 2006 when they got together to present the Nike + iPod in, but had never gone a step further. If we also consider that Tim Cook is part of the board of Nike, all seems well under way:
This rumored alliance will result awaited iWatch? If so, chances are you know throughout 2014, we'll see if in surprise or complying with the speculation.

iPhone: Workflow for Multi-Device Design
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Different versions of the iPhone have different screen resolutions – 320×480, 640×960, and 640×1136.
The Strategy
We’re going to assume that we’re building a native app in HTML5, so no desktops. Also, the design will be in landscape mode. That said, you should be able to apply this to any mobile design project.
Hi. I read a very interesting article RedTech. I leave here:
We’ve been seeing a lot of articles lately about the change happening in web and interactive design.
Here at redtech we’ve been grappling with many of the same issues. Since we develop mobile apps using HTML5 and PhoneGap, our goal is to build once and deliver across all platforms. The reality is very different, and one key problem for us is grappling with multiple screen resolutions.
For today’s article, I’m going to walk through our workflow for designing towards multiple screen resolutions. This is meant to be very hands on, or tactical. There’s no over-arching design philosophy here, but just some practical tips for getting the job done efficiently.
The Problem
Today’s mobile devices come in a wide array of shapes and sizes. Our current list of target screen sizes has 18 different resolutions across 6 different aspect ratios. Gone are the days when “mobile” meant the 320×480 iPhone resolution. Even there, you have three possible resolutions, 320×480, 640×960, and 640×1136.

The Strategy
We’re going to assume that we’re building a native app in HTML5, so no desktops. Also, the design will be in landscape mode. That said, you should be able to apply this to any mobile design project.
1. Design in Illustrator
If you’re an old Photoshop hand, this is going to be hard for you. Still, you need to be working in a vector based medium as much as possible. Vector assets will scale cleanly from 320px wide to 1536. Don’t waste your life re-doing the same layout over and over again in different resolutions.

2. Design to Aspect Ratio
Depending on your background, this may be a new concept for you. Since a “pixel” has become a relative concept, there’s no reason to lock your design into a finite set of square dots on the screen. What really matters is the aspect ratio, or the relationship between the width and the height of the screen.
By designing to aspect ratio you can target more devices with the same design. For example, here’s a list of devices that all use 16:9 aspect ratio:
iPhone 5 – 640 x1136
Microsoft Phone 8 (720) – 720×1280
Android Tablet – 768×1366
By designing to the 16:9 aspect ratio you can target all these devices with the same layout.
Different screen resoutions on different devices still have the same screen resolution.

3. Plan to Adapt
Rather than create all new layouts for each aspect ratio, decide which elements of your design will change in a taller layout, and tweak the design for that scenario. For example, if you added the iPhone 4 to our list from above, it has a 3:2 aspect ratio, so it’s shorter than the iPhone 5. Now it’s time to borrow a trick from the pre HD days of video production and add some “safe zones” to your design template. This can just be a guide to let you know where the 3:2 cutoff is.
Now while you’re designing, you can make sure that all the key content appears within the 3:2 window, or you can define parts of the design that move or scale on the smaller screen.
This isn’t an easy thing to make a rule about. It depends a lot on what your app looks like and what the requirements are. Use your best judgment. Our point here is to try as much as possible to not re-design and entire layout for one or two devices.

4. Target a few Key Resolutions
When you get to the production, you’ll have to save out files in bitmap formats. (At least until SVG becomes viable.) Since we can use media queries in CSS to re-size images, we can create images at the largest possible resolution and scale them down for presentation on smaller screens.
This presents a performance issue, since an iPhone 3 will choke and die if you try to give it a 1536×2048 background image meant for an iPad with retina display.
Our solution is to create artwork that targets our 3 most popular resolutions:
480 pixels wide – Android Phone/Windows Phone
960 pixels wide – iPhone 4 +
1536 pixels wide – iPad Retina display
Any screen that is 480 pixels wide or less will the the 480 set. Between 480 and 960, and will get the 960 set and so on.

5. Output Multiple Sizes Quickly
This last tip is purely a how to. Illustrator’s File > Save for Web command has a nice feature that let’s you scale the output of your images as you save them. Take advantage of this feature and web slices to speed up your production process.
Wrapping it Up
This is all, of course, a work in progress. The mobile landscape changes very quickly, and everyone in the industry is trying to answer the same questions. To help you get started, we’ve created a free Illustrator template for you to use. If you find this useful, or if you have something to add to it, let us know about it by commenting below.
