Add to Flipboard Magazine.

Widgets and interaction between apps and iOS

We have developments affecting both developers and users, found such things as interesting as the new packages of apps in the App Store to buy several at once at a discounted price, APIs to integrate third-party apps in the Control center as Bing translator or social network we please, or even store documents from any app on services like OneDrive or Box. The Notification Center is reorganized as anticipates raising the Today view, merging all notifications in one tab.

Apple leads smartphone sales in Japan

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Being a leader in a market so advanced and technology as Japan is not easy. However, Apple has managed to position itself as the best-selling phone brand in Japan, beating competitors like Sony or Samsung. According to recent reports in the country right now, one of every three smartphones sold are iPhone, a fact said soon but it is a breakthrough for the brand.

The "guilty" of this tremendous growth is the agreement with DoCoMo. Japan is a country where phones are purchased through contracts with carriers and DoCoMo, the largest company, refused to offer the iPhone on its plans until last October when he relented and began offering the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in exchange for a royalty of 25%.

The numbers are quite impressive: in its debut month of the iPhone took 61% of sales terminals DoCoMo, Apple getting this increase and subsequent sales presence in the market by 11.1%, from having some more than 25% to 36% of current market share. And talk about Apple profits could have won in Japan since the agreement with DoCoMo about $ 4 billion.

Apple releases the rumored iPhone update events in the U.S.

Add to Flipboard Magazine.

Has finally come true: Apple has announced officially its iPhone event update after leaked details three days ago. Some customers have even started to receive emails encouraging them to come to an Apple Store U.S. to improve their phone. The movement should motivate a sales increase in the official Apple stores, which Tim Cook seeks to achieve for some time.

Customers are entitled to participate in this event can recycle your old iPhone and get a discount to buy an iPhone 5S or an iPhone 5C. The discount will be $ 99 if we deliver an iPhone 4 and $ 199 if we exchanged an iPhone 4s. Seldom had seen and discounts on Apple.

So far this campaign will not leave the United States, and depending on how it turns out maybe it stays there or goes in some other countries. But the truth is that it is a good way to release stocks in the stores a few months of launching the next generation of iPhones.

The Apple Stores removed the iPod touch like mobile payment devices

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
If you have gone to an Apple Store, you will know that many of their employees are not separated from their mobile payment devices. So far these have included an iPod touch and a case with credit card reader, but it seems that Apple is replacing these models iPod touch for iPhone 5S.

So say at 9to5Mac, which also say that iPhone 5S will be equipped with a cover that will have more features: improvements in code reading Passbook, slot for smart cards to pay via our PIN by entering it on the same screen of the iPhone...and the natural advantage that employees will hand a phone to make emergency calls. Although there is also room for suspicions future.

Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of the iPod?

And the simple change from an iPod to an iPhone and it makes me suspect that the iPod touch will stop be so present in stores, or perhaps Apple is preparing to use the TouchID sensor these iPhone in the future payment system or simply to help identify employees who use these terminals to charge customers.

For me, the arrival of the Apple wearables, could signal the beginning of the end of the iPod. We will wait to see what Apple has plans for them.

The next iPad could have Touch ID

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
When it introduced the iPhone 5S with Touch ID all thought the other Apple devices include the new identification system. Time passed and although out the iPad Air and iPad Mini (second generation), they never had the system installed. But recent rumors suggest that the new iPad will have built-Touch ID.

Apart from that found in iOS 7.1 source code, the rumor comes this time from the hardware part, specifically the company Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company which apparently would have provided Apple in mid-April the first batch of sensors touch, which would be designed for all future iOS devices, both a possible iPhone 6 as a Air iPad 2 and an iPad Mini 3.

That the next devices Touch ID is a logical move by Apple. And if it had not before is because it is quite likely that iPad and iPad Mini Air had the very advanced at the time of the presentation of the iPhone 5S.

Lunecase, the iPhone case that works by electromagnetism

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Lunecase is the original cover, simple and elegant and  uses the electromagnetism of our smartphone.  A very interesting Kickstarter project worth a good look.

Amazingly there are still cases that surprise us greatly. Is Lunecase event of, a simple, elegant and practical case using some features of our phone to get more for their performance but, above all, is simply brilliant level design, as you will see.

Lunecase basically consists of a sleeve capable of detecting calls or messages and display an icon on the LED back. But also it does not need connection, no battery or wire. This takes advantage of the electromagnetic fields generated by the circuits of our phone so that feeds the LED icon, which is incredibly sleek and futuristic, as shown in the images. Lunecase is a project still in its Kikcstarter phase but has already reached the limit specified for launch.
The developers behind this concept are the Ukrainian company Concepter, who already participated in the CES 2014 with other mills. The presence of Lunecase is spectacular, very elegant and tasteful. Something simple but very well designed, convenient when it comes to protecting and notifying. This is especially useful if you have the phone on silent and upside down, for example. And all this for a price that competes well with other covers that offer unless Lunecase.

It is probably a derivative of RFID circuits or induction, similar to the circuits used in wireless chargers. Lunecase is available for iPhone 5, iPhone and iPhone 5s 5c and shipments will begin in August this year.

Apple regains market share in Japan, Australia and Spain thanks to sales of the iPhone 5S

Add to Flipboard Magazine.

Market share: that fact that all manufacturers look. No matter how many devices you sell if the amount you sell to your competitor. In his keynote Apple always provides data to and share in the first quarter of 2014 has one more fact to teach as it has increased its market share in mobile devices.

This increase in sales was due to areas such as Japan, Australia and Europe where market share went up to 57.6%, 33.1% and 19.2% respectively, and these data rose by 8.6% in Japan, 2% in Australia and 0.1% in Europe, Spain is the European country with the largest increase (4.5%). The culprit for this increase has been mainly the iPhone 5S, which has had a great return as far as sales are concerned.

But not all would be good news for Apple in the first quarter of 2014 and in the United States during the months of January and March share dropped to 35.9% (7.9% less than the same time last year past), showing that Americans buy more at the end of the year than at the beginning.

Is this good news for Apple? Yes and no. On the one hand the increase in market share is always positive, but if we see the overall study data Kantar Wordpanel we realize that Android is still the most used operating system in all countries except Japan, a fact that Apple should attack later or later if you do not want to stay in line.

Renders of alleged iPhone 6 confirm the increase in screen and 6mm thick

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Leaks continue, and this time are some renders of the iPhone in June alleged that show how the new terminal would be more screen and thinner.
March and April tend to be especially active in Tale months of rumors and leaks about new Apple products, and this year, the event increased screen size of the next iPhone 6 is assuming that most of the rumors focus on this feature.

I recently watched the new front panel and more rounded edges. Now would be new renders for accessory manufacturers to confirm the increased screen and 6 millimeters thick. If so become one of the finest devices market.
Through UkranianiPhone have posted pictures that accompany this post and according to this source correspond to Render design for manufacturers of bags and accessories, and how logically contain all the physical details of the terminal to match the accessories with the arrangement of the physical buttons and the structure of the terminal. In this way according to these data, this assumption iPhone would be high and slightly wider than the current iPhone 5s, which measures 124mm by 59mm by changing to 138mm by 67mm, nearby to one of the terminals Android.

One idea that I personally am not convinced, I think more than 5 inches is a brick in your pocket.

Powerful, the new iPhone announcement 5s. Our turn

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
You are more powerful than you think.

It is seen that lately advertising agency Apple is on a roll, and if along the history of the apple have seen all, campaigns like What will your verse? or videos made to mark the 30th anniversary of the Mac have a quality that brings us back to the golden age of Apple's best marketing.

The new announcement of iPhone 5s continuing this path with a round spot where not only see the product being used in all kinds of situations but also invites us to explore our creativity with a clear message: "You have the tools, you use it."

First we see how different musicians are preparing their instruments with various apps for iOS to help them get the sound they want and while listening to the song "Gigantic" by Pixies take shape, we witnessed some fragments of users enjoy video games, making homemade blockbusters translating signs in real time, checking your heart rate, firing rockets or hunting constellations with their iPhone.

Apple releases iOS 7.1.1 with Touch ID enhancements and bug fixes to Bluetooth Keyboards

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Apple just released a new update of iOS to version 7.1.1 which implements "further improvements in the system of fingerprint recognition Touch ID" iPhone 5s and solves two problems related to the ability to record keyboards and use Bluetooth keyboard with VoiceOver enabled.

The update also includes security enhancements and is available for all compatible iOS 7 devices including iPad 2 and higher, iPad mini, iPhone 4 and higher iPod touch fifth generation. The Apple TV has also been updated to version 6.1.1 with a set of similar changes.

The version of iOS 7.1 was launched last March with several refinements to the user interface, a new calendar view and support for CarPlay among other innovations. Unfortunately this version introduced a problem with the Internet sharing option that has affected many users of iPhone 4 and apparently still not corrected in this new update.

Rumor: Primera foto del supuesto frontal del 'iPhone 6'

Fuente: Sina Weibo
