Katie Cotton, Apple's vice president of communications, retires
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Apple loses one of its great veterans: VP Communications Katie Cotton. The executive has decided to retire after more than 18 years in the Cupertino company with the maximum charge of the press department and dealing with all corporate communications.
The reason is natural after so much time supporting that responsibility: Katie wants to spend more time with their children. An Apple spokesman has told to Re/Code that "truly will miss her," and the same Katie has also said that the decision to withdraw has been the hardest of his career because "Apple is a part of my heart ".
Katie has been in charge of Apple's relationships since the first iMac
Katie has been (under the command of Steve Jobs and Tim Cook later) the creator of how Apple has been associated with the media around the world since the revolution of the first iMac. Secrecy, statements, press releases ... a pillar for the company that now leaves the free position.
It was not immediately known if enter into another company that requires less time, but his successor will be responsible for keeping alive all the secrecy that Tim Cook wants to keep Apple. Good luck, Katie!

The fake rumor more shared on the internet
Add to Flipboard Magazine.
If you have been aware of the rumors of Apple in recent weeks, you know that one you described EarPods next generation of biometric sensors to provide our vital constant in HealthBook. Everything came from a message posted in Secret, an application that allows uploading secrets anonymously and has already been the trigger of important news in the tech world. Well, it turns out that the author of that message has admitted that it is all an invention.
The user has admitted it in Secret, through a Tumblr blog created exclusively for this purpose. The rumor was invented while sitting on the toilet, the first of May, "a headache" and "concerned about his blood precise tolerance." Why? Simply because I had found a good place for a laugh protecting anonymity, without being aware of the relevance.
A false rumor spread by all media
But the media did not take the rumor as a joke: spread through all the covers of the specialized media, with the chance that had real data to support the rumor: headphones with sensors is something that has already been investigated in the laboratories of Cupertino, and has even been hiring personnel about . A fake, but with arguments that can be real.
Nobody has done anything illegal: many experts have just as valid a fake message that stated in Secret. And so, the author of all this mess apologizes publicly on his Tumblr for misleading the public and to believe that Apple. Not to complicate matters, the cause will remain anonymous.
