Neal Benezra is very clear, and that his institution will honor Ive handing the Bay Area Treasure Award, an award that recognizes artists and the creative world leading figures in the area of ​​San Francisco and becoming vice president of design at Apple with names like director George Lucas, painter Wayne Thiebaud or landscape architect Lawrence Halprin.  

Jonathan Ive lived a good point in his career where not stop winning awards. A year ago Ive jumped into the list of the hundred most influential people in the world of Time magazine. Ive collected his award at the ceremony that took place on October 30, but has been quick to show their appreciation to the museum with a brief statement:
"I have always enjoyed my visits to SFMOMA and I think represents the design and contemporary art in an exceptional way. I am very grateful to the museum and proud to be recognized among an impressive list of previous winners."
