Add to Flipboard Magazine.
"Ive is the most innovative and influential figure of our generation in the field of industrial design. No other designer has done so much to transform the way we view and share information," said Neal Benezra, director of SFMOMA. "SFMOMA was the first museum on the east coast to establish a department of architecture and design and are happy to celebrate the revolutionary achievements Ive"
Neal Benezra is very clear, and that his institution will honor Ive handing the Bay Area Treasure Award, an award that recognizes artists and the creative world leading figures in the area of San Francisco and becoming vice president of design at Apple with names like director George Lucas, painter Wayne Thiebaud or landscape architect Lawrence Halprin.

Jonathan Ive lived a good point in his career where not stop winning awards. A year ago Ive jumped into the list of the hundred most influential people in the world of Time magazine. The previous year, he flew to London with his entire team to collect the prestigious Design & Arts Direction award when he was still fresh in his memory knighthood by the Queen of England.

It is behind the design of some of the most iconic products from Apple, the MOMA in New York has a collection of six products with its signature: the Mac G4 Cube and precious speakers, subwoofer iSub, iBook, iMac G4 and the first iPod.

Ive collected his award at the ceremony that took place on October 30, but has been quick to show their appreciation to the museum with a brief statement:
"I have always enjoyed my visits to SFMOMA and I think represents the design and contemporary art in an exceptional way. I am very grateful to the museum and proud to be recognized among an impressive list of previous winners."

DOTS, connect the points

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
In a few days will be fulfilled one year since I downloaded a game called Dots at the recommendation of a friend. It is one of those apps that stand out for its minimalism, simplicity and beauty, which also contains a very entertaining complexity.

After a year playing, it's definitely one of my favorite apps. In this post I would recommend it.

Getting Started with Dots
"In the end, everything is connected" - Charles Eames, architect, designer and filmmaker.
Dots is a game of collecting points of the same color. That's it. You do not have realistic graphics or complicated rules. Once you join all the points that you used to draw the line disappear, dropping circles located above and inputting new ones.

In the tutorial they give you the key to ending the greatest number of points at a time. What you have to do is close the line with the geometric shape you want, from a square to an irregular shape. If you do, all points of the same color disappear even if not connected to your figure.

Easy, right? Not so much

In classic game mode you have only 60 seconds to eliminate as many points as possible. This limitation is precisely what makes it a perfect Dots addictive game for pecking between meals on our iPhone. If you take up this connectivity to social networks to sting you with your contacts, we have an explosive mixture.

Some strategies to squeeze Dots
