From now on, you can install from third keyboards. If you are bored of QuickType, the new predictive keyboard function iOS 8. This not only gives us the context related to help us write faster, but rather may even save write full words, analyzing and offering a message directly possible responses using language appropriate to the type of relationship you have with that contact. Supports 14 languages.

iMessage

Like Mail, iMessage also assimilated many of the functions of other messaging applications as temporarily mute group conversations, access to a view all images from that thread, share our position, send audio clips... In short, features we take for assumed Whatsapp or Facebook that is actually missing in iMessage.

A new chapter on integration between iOS and OS X

But if what you want is plain and simple innovation, Continuity is the word to remember. The way Apple has managed to integrate OS X and iOS to move from one device to another continuing right where we left off without sacrificing the personality of each. A hit in the center of the target which is enhanced further by iCloud Drive, the file management system that, do what he promised, were waiting.

Health is the first

HealthBook Do you remember? Well actually called Health, but it is basically what we expected, a hub that centralizes all data collected by the sensors of the iPhone and compatible medical accessories.

Sharing our purchases

The Photos app has received a major update removing the limit of 1000 pictures and videos synchronizing  from Photo Stream, multiplying tenfold editing and retouching options and synchronizing all changes immediately through iCloud with a new app for OS X Yosemite. Also, if you have connection, you need not even have pictures and videos taking up space to see them.

"Hey, Siri!!"

It is the turn to Siri, and although not shown detail, we were at the moment with 5 features:

• Skill to begin working with just say "Hey, Siri," 
• Identifying songs through Shazam
• Purchase iTunes content
• Voice recognition as we speak. 
• 22 new dictation languages

What is "Continuity"?

In the mission to further integrate iOS with OS X, Apple has just introduced a new system for sharing applications between iOS and OS X called Continuity at WWDC 2014. With this new system we can share what we are doing to our iOS device and transfer it to your Mac and also vice versa.

Continuity is Apple's way of calling the entire system that has been devised to share the most of our iOS devices with our Mac with OS X Yosemite. Handoff is the system that allows us to share any application on your iPhone and vice versa, for example, if you are writing an email on our iPhone, the Mac will detect it and can finish writing therefrom. The system will also work with Safari, presentations, and any application that offers support for Handoff. Also allow us to have instant Hotspot meter without any password. 

Additionally it also introduced integration of SMS and calls with OS X. If we set our iOS device, our SMS will see in iMessage as if it were a normal message. Likewise this compatibility extends to calls, allowing us to use our Mac as a handsfree for our iPhone. This utility also allows you to call people from our Mac to our contact list and call phones we find on the web via Safari, all calls going through our iPhone.

Pocket for Mac

Sort the items you see, bookmark favorites and save it for future reference is very necessary for many of us. The amount of information out there on the Internet uphill sort and separate the good from the best. Pocket version for Mac makes this work very easy and can also read the posts downloaded without internet connection. 

We will see the launch of this app version for Mac, the different ways to store content and its integration with the iOS version. Although there is a web version of the app is, in my opinion, more achieved so let's focus on it.

Getting Started with Pocket for Mac

Once you download the app from the Mac App Store and has been installed, we will enter the details of our account if we do, give us high with Google Plus or create us a new one. If you have the iOS app and an associated account, the best you can do to get the most out of Pocket for Mac is to use the same credentials. As soon as you enter, you will see how all articles and content you download automatically, leaving the reading queue like on your iPhone or iPad. Synchronization between versions is perfect.

It is important that after you install Pocket plugin in the browser or browsers that you use in your everyday life. This plugin allows you to save the web page that you are at that point directly to the read queue with one click. It is available for the following browsers: Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Once installed, you will need to enter your username and password again so you can send content properly.

Reading and options in this app

Pocket for Mac offers a reading experience your content in a similar way iOS version. Save the item, open the app and you will be there waiting to read it offline if you wish. These are the options that can be operated from the interface (see picture, left to right):

• Back.

• Save: Save the file on your article and is no longer accessible offline.

• Bookmark.

• Remove.

• Switch between Article View and Web View, especially useful if you like to read the comments.

• Text Settings: You can change the font size, type and change the justification.

• Add tags.

• Share on social networks, email or open in the browser.

This app stands out for the classification of the articles that interest you according to the labels you have created and you have marked as favorites. Thus, if you ever need to search for information on a topic you have been collecting data, the whole process will be easier.

Apple registered a patent deal that would prevent the mobile while driving

Managing mobile or GPS when we are driving is one of the many causes that can lead to an accident. With the increase in smartphone and notifications, use while driving has increased, thus increasing the risk of accidents also. Apple knows this problem and just patented a system that would avoid using your phone while driving.

The patent would be based on safety thresholds to be inside a moving car, that is, detect the phone through the GPS we are moving and analyze image obtained by processing with cameras if we are the driver or not. Thus two areas, a safe and other unsafe be identified, as shown in the following image of patent registration.

According to the patent, upon detecting that we are in an unsafe area could be two things: either that the phone will block all use is considered unsafe or that the car emitted signals it inoperable phone while they were driving. These two possibilities are covered by the registration of the patent, so either could be chosen by Apple to implement.

Does this new patent a new feature of iOS related integration CarPlay? Yes and no. Software patents in the U.S. are so abstract that it can be only a record to protect competition or have an idea already developed and implemented.

Still, if this system a reality would be something that would have to take into account both car manufacturers as government of different countries, as they would have to think if it could be a mandatory on all cars to reduce the number accidents due to improper use of mobile phone.
