Apple wants to raise awareness among their employees

Apple has taken seriously its celebration of Earth Day. After painting leaves their green apples in all stores, dress their employees with green shirts and launch an advertising campaign with the same voice of Tim Cook, the company sent an email to his employees to care more environmentally in their work environment. 

In that email is the best of the arguments: figures showing facts. If all staff collaborate could save 16,420 bottles and 22 tonnes of plastic if usasen a reusable bottle. And just so you have easy, Apple is giving away one by all workers in Corporate and Retail.

Apple also used the excuse of Earth Day to have an internal concert on campus in Cupertino. Not everything will be responsibilities, of course.

The Apple Store beginning to accept devices for proper recycling

Apple is on the way to being one of the most sustainable and respectful with the environment multinational world. And leaving far behind those years when your hardware components was extremely toxic, from Cupertino and take a few months promoting their good work in regards to ecology. A "Better" campaign of which I talked about yesterday is joined today a new service: the ability to recycle any device in their stores.

With this new initiative all Apple Store become recycling centers electronic material. The electronic material accepted from shops be any Apple device and any mobile phone, that is, that whether you have an old iPod which hard drive is dead or Nokia year potato is collecting dust, you can take it to an Apple Store for recycling properly, since components of these devices are made that can not be lightly pull, and need proper treatment.

Collection devices for recycling is free, but if your device is new and has some value, and we appreciate that value may give gift vouchers that can be redeemed at any Apple Store. All information about this new recycling initiative is on the Apple website; noting that the Spanish company will ECOEMBES (in Spain) in charge of the treatment of all waste.
