The bid to be the default search engine in Safari continues, Yahoo does "eyes" to Apple

What will be the default search engine will select Apple Safari, both for iOS version to the version in OS X? As you know, since we already talked about this in November, Apple renewed the contract in 2010 with Google, which stipulated to this search engine as the default browser engine just this year 2015.

We all know the veiled war between Apple and Google, although Tim Cook obviously have a much more diplomatic character in this respect that Steve Jobs, it seems that this agreement with Google will end there. And now come into play other ... Yahoo and Bing with Microsoft are really interested in getting the contract and now Yahoo, which in a recent earnings conference has openly talked about it.

Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo said the benefit would be the default search engine browser Apple during the recent conference of company results. The exact words were "The Safari platform is a leading global search platforms, but is the first". Marissa knows the momentum would get Yahoo to become the default search engine in Safari, particularly taking into account the predominant type of user in iOS and OS X (always under his own words).

Marissa also recalls the great work done by Mozilla to be the default search engine in the browser and the benefits it brought to the company. Similar work with Apple could be very beneficial as it is in the Yahoo search business and Safari browser is very present on the Internet.

Right now, Google is chosen and not the actual interest you may have the company to renew his contract is known, neither the type of financial arrangement they may have Apple and Google in this regard is known. Google just can "go to sleep" now that created the fame. You can simply terminate the contract and wait for users of iOS and OS X change in the default browser preferences to reuse Google search engine.
