Hackers manage to circumvent the blocking system and activating iPhone

The news has come through a Dutch newspaper, where two Hackers gave data on the possible violation of the locking system of stolen iPhone. This breach allowed them to trick the iPhone and get the unlock, which would allow resell stolen iPhones that had been remotely locked using iCloud and Find My iPhone.

Apple publishes its rules for when the law requests access to the user data

Our privacy has been sullied during the beginning of this year, the NSA controversy starred with requests to read personal data through user accounts of some companies. Apple had already asked then a change in these methods, refusing to collaborate with the authorities and later clarified its position. Now the company has gone a step further, publishing rules for determining when the U.S. request user data.

In these rules we can read how Apple will notify all who have accounts with data that have been applied, or how you can "punch" the post provided they have received a court order to do so. Instead, communications via iMessage or FaceTime can not be intercepted as they are encrypted from device to device. Calendars and any third-party application data may not be accessible through Apple, although each application will have its own policy regarding government requests.

Location data from any iOS device with GPS enabled are not saved on Apple's servers

There are other interesting details to read the text: location data iOS terminals are not saved on Apple's servers, so that can not be delivered to the authorities as much as asked. The same goes for the unlock codes the same devices.

Apple also said in the document that is prepared to work with the police at the time of recovering stolen devices, but also depends on the police use the data provided by iCloud. A rather clarifying rules, maybe put in audience by the hand of the new privacy expert hired the company last month.

The NBC shows inside the Apple data center in North Carolina

We've all seen pictures of the data center that Apple has in North Carolina, and now that the center is energized 100% clean, renewable with the last year that the company has released. But NBC entered with their cameras inside the data center, which is not usual. 

In short feature video we can see Lisa Jackson, head of the environmental department at Apple, walk with reporter about a noisy crowded halls where supposedly saved servers and synchronize all data from our iCloud accounts.

Lisa has realized that the solar panel farm generates even more energy than Apple need in your data center, which allows you to forward all that surplus to the grid of the nearby town of Maiden. Coast Opera comes to the iPhone

Coast Opera is an alternative browser to iOS (so far only on the iPad) that has been with us since last September, and like other alternative browsers has not finished drawing much attention. But Opera want to have more presence, so they have taken to iPhone Coast closing the circle of all Apple mobile devices. 

The interface is almost the same as we see in the iPad version, but Opera has bothered to put all the elements so that we can interact with them using only your thumb. It also supports iCloud, so it can have all the navigation data synchronized between devices.


Coast is completely free and can be installed in iOS 6.0 and later. For use as a casual browser and some web sites accessible from a grid of icons, this browser can be a good option.

Apple disabled the login iChat with AIM in June 30

Fewer and fewer (19% according NetApplications MAC OSX) but are still there: those that use a previous version of OS X Lion 10.7.2 that they still have the iChat application on the system, and therefore need to know that Apple disables your logon AIM accounts from next June 30.

For everyone else, remember that iChat has become the Messages app that integrates with iCloud and iMessages. If by some chance you still using the AIM protocol, we still have alternatives such as Adium same application or official AIM client to use these messaging protocols.

Rumor: possibilities for Preview and TextEdit

At the launch of iOS and iCloud, its goal was to merge this experience in Mac OSX, to make a more efficient synchronization between devices. After three years of its introduction, Apple continues to improve its functionality. The company is working on a couple new app, as well as improving existing providing app developers to create apps compatible with working iCloud-iWork.

Apple is developing versions of Preview and TextEdit for Mac OSX system, which have been optimized for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. These new features would aim to eliminate the need to use PDF as previewing documents, creating their own Standard. 

In short, developers would be encouraged to build the app with this structure in order to synchronize all the functionality without the need for third-party apps. Imbue TextEdit and Preview app in iWork to work together to both iOS and Mac OSX.

Is still at an early stage of development, and can be considered to launch later this year. It is possible that the way is displayed in the new presentation of iOS 8 which is expected for June 2 at WWDC 2014.

Can Apple create a really cheap iPhone? (1st Part)

Since the launch of iPhone 5c and deception of the public, analysts, bloggers and shareholders about its high price, there is a widespread perception that Apple iPhone could make a really cheap if wanted. But as you want, we have had to settle for an iPhone 5 plastic-coated colors.

This view on Apple could go into the middle and low market segment as if by magic, in my opinion, at least partly wrong. But I have them all with me. I can think of arguments for both an affirmative answer as a negative to the question in the title of this article.

Why Apple can not make a cheap iPhone (1st Part)

When a company is founded, business model and value chain is created from the first minute. As the years pass and if the company is successful, these two elements are based within nature itself and its rationale. Every day is more optimized, but also makes it difficult to switch these two factors. 

Change the business model and the value chain is difficult, very difficult in addition to painful. But it is not impossible. Here we have Microsoft to try to change a business model based on selling licenses to other services and with Office 365 subscriptions. We can also see Adobe make the same change.

Returning to the case of Apple, there are three limitations that I think will prevent creating a cheaper iPhone:

• iCloud. Why, if there is something Apple criticized what we are unfortunate to have been attempts in the cloud. Falls on the iCloud service, a minimum storage per user account, increases charged to doubloon space, etc.. Not to mention the widespread synchronization falls in the rest of its services and that causes nightmares for developers. It is clear that Apple is not a company born as Google internet. Google lives for internet. Can you imagine millions of users putting more pressure on iCloud? Just cope building data centers throughout North Carolina.

• The Apple business model focuses on the absolute control of the user experience and in the premium segment, with margins, prices, products, customer service, Apple Stores, materials, and design clients, all premium. Everything Apple does is geared towards that goal. The value chain Apple is ready to turn their premium products, from start to finish, and is not intended for anything else.

• Production volume. Tim Cook loves to say after each weekend launch of the new iPhone and a smile from ear to ear that of "The demand of the iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to bring an iPhone 5 in the hands of the so customers want as quickly as possible. "Sorry Tim, but a broken stock is also bad news for Apple. A potential customer can not find what you want at that moment is a client pissed least or a lost customer and will not return in the worst case.
